I have many current favourites but I’ve got to say Sara Bareilles’ Gravity is one of my all time favourite songs.
I first discovered this song while aimlessly wandering through the streets of Youtube and fell instantly in love with it. There’s nothing wrong with this song at all: everything, from its simple piano accompaniment, to the lyrics, to Sara Bareilles’ lovely pure voice, to the bridge, is so amazingly beautiful.
This song has such a calming and destressing effect on me. It can also make me teary, as it did one time when I was on the train home at night, and so I sat there like a loser with tears in my eyes as I waited for the train to depart.
